Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ADHD children: (1) Chinese children aged 8-13 years; (2) no additional regular participation in PA other than school physical education classes for at least 6 months prior to the study; (3) ADHD diagnosis from a physician based on the DSM-5; (4) a physician/psychologist’s recommendation for participation. TD children: (1) Chinese children aged 8-13 years; (2) no additional regular participation in PA other than school physical education classes for at least 6 months prior to the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria are: (1) diagnosed as both ASD and ADHD; (2) combined with other major neurodevelopmental or psychiatric disorders (e.g., intellectual disability, etc.); (3) acute/chronic diseases that may affect engagement in PA.
