The rapid strength and ability to change direction of college tennis players

Interventions

Velocity-Based Training Group:Velocity-Based Training (VBT): Load-velocity profiling test
training at a percentage of pre-determined one-repetition maximum (1RM)
retesting 1RM every two to four weeks during training
discontinuation of the training session when average velocity decreases by 10%.
Percentage-Based Training Group:Percentage-Based Training (PBT): training at a percentage of pre-determined one-repetition maximum (1RM)
blood sample collection within 30 minutes after the last intervention session in week one.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Possess national Level 2 tennis athlete qualification or above; 2.No major injuries within the past 6 months, no neurological or other mental disorders affecting the experiment, and ability to systematically participate in the entire intervention process with proficiency in performing the back squat movement; 3.Have at least 3 years of training experience; 4.All participants must voluntarily join the experiment, with training compliance greater than 90%, and ensure adequate rest and sleep before testing and training sessions.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Poor compliance; 2.Lost to follow-up due to injury or voluntary withdrawal; 3.Failed to cooperate.
