Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged >= 18 years old; 2. Meet the Sepsis-3.0 international diagnostic criteria for sepsis; 3. Diagnosed with sepsis-induced myocardial injury (SIMI): the level of cardiac troponin I (TnI) exceeds the 99th percentile upper limit of the normal reference value, with or without left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) < 50% or abnormal global longitudinal strain (GLS); 4. The patient or his/her legal agent signs the informed consent form and voluntarily participates in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. History of non-sepsis-induced myocardial injury diseases, including chronic heart failure (New York Heart Association (NYHA) class ?-?), severe valvular heart disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, acute coronary syndrome, acute non-septic heart failure, and active myocarditis; 2. Patients with end-stage renal disease (estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) < 15 ml/min/1.73m^2) or decompensated cirrhosis; 3. Pregnant or lactating women; 4. The patient or his/her legal agent refuses to sign the informed consent form and is unwilling to participate in this study.
