Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age: >=18 years old; 2. Score of the Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K10) >= 22, accompanied by at least one episode of non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) or having impulses for non-suicidal self-injury in the past month; 3. Signed informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Suicide attempt within the past month; 2. Substance abuse or dependence within the past month; 3. Current participation in another research study; 4. Previous participation in a mindfulness-related program of >=8 weeks in duration, or current regular mindfulness practice at a frequency exceeding once per week.
