18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged between 18 and 65 years; 2. Diagnosed with moderate to severe hepatic steatosis via liver ultrasound/magnetic resonance imaging, with no other liver diseases; 3. Patients consented to participate in the study and signed informed consent forms.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.History of liver cirrhosis or presence of and/or decompensated liver function, including ascites, hepatic encephalopathy, or variceal bleeding. 2.Other known causes of chronic liver disease. 3.History of or planned liver transplantation. 4.HIV-1 or HIV-2 infection. 5.Positive hepatitis B surface antigen. 6.Alcohol consumption >21 units/week for males or >14 units/week for females. 7.Aspartate aminotransferase (AST) or alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels >5 times the upper limit of normal. 8.Total bilirubin >1.3 mg/dL (>22.2 µmol/L). 9.Poor compliance. 10.Refusal to participate in this study.
