Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Meets the diagnostic criteria for major depressive disorder as stipulated in the Fifth Edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders of the United States; 2.Age range 18-65 years old; 3.Has not received antidepressant medication treatment or has discontinued it for more than 6 weeks; 4.Han ethnicity; 5.Has received at least 5 years of formal education; 6.Right-handed; 7.Normal vision and hearing (or after correction); No language communication disorders.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.With a history of brain organic diseases and brain trauma, or with a history of endocrine diseases, or with abnormal blood tests, heart, liver, and kidney functions upon examination; 2.With a history of mental retardation, alcohol and drug dependence; 3.Pregnant and lactating women; 4.With contraindications for MRI scans such as electronic and metal implantations.
