CHG group: In the CHG group, the PICC was secured with a CHG gel dressing (3M Tegaderm CHG I.V. Securement Dressing) post-insertion, with dressing changes scheduled every 5 to 7 days.
RD group:the RD group was managed with a 2 cm × 2 cm six-layer sterile gauze covered by the highly adhesive transparent dressing(3M Tegaderm HP transparent film dressing), with the first change at 24

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age over 18 years old; 2. Female; 3. Had a PICC catheter placed and regularly maintained at our hospital's intravenous therapy outpatient clinic.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Pre-existing bloodstream infections or skin injuries at the puncture site; 2. Allergic to alcohol or CHG; 3. Known coagulation disorders, or on therapeutic anticoagulation, or risk of active puncture-site bleeding.
