Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age: 10-65 years, gender and occupation not limited. 1. Periodontitis Group (1) Periodontitis patients, diagnostic criteria: clinical attachment loss (CAL) on the interproximal surfaces of 2 or more non-adjacent teeth, or buccal or lingual CAL >3mm on 2 or more teeth with probing depth (PD) >3mm. (2) Periodontitis patients who require periodontal flap surgery after initial treatment. (3) Informed consent obtained from the subject or their parents/guardians. 2. Peri-implantitis Group (1) Patients with peri-implantitis, diagnostic criteria: mucosal redness and swelling, visible plaque or calculus on the surface; bleeding and/or pus upon probing; bone loss reaching 1/4 of the implant length upon probing. Gingival hyperplasia around the mini-implant requiring local gingival resection surgery. (2) Periodontal health: PD <3mm, bleeding index <15%, no signs of gingival inflammation, CAL <0.5mm. (3) Informed consent obtained from the subject or their parents/guardians. 3. Healthy Control Group (1) Patients requiring crown lengthening surgery/gingival flap surgery. (2) Periodontal health: PD <3mm, bleeding index <15%, no signs of gingival inflammation, CAL <0.5mm. No signs of pericoronitis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with systemic diseases affecting bone metabolism (such as diabetes-related osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.); 2.Salivary gland disorders or other oral diseases, such as mucosal disorders; 3.Pregnant or lactating women; 4.Antibiotic use within the past 3 months; 5.Alcohol abuse or smoking (>10 cigarettes/day) with inability to abstain during the trial period; 6.Refusal to sign the informed consent form or refusal to participate in this clinical trial.
