18 Years to 100 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Maternal age >= 18 years, singleton pregnancy at 37–42 weeks of gestation. 2. Scheduled for cesarean section under combined spinal-epidural anesthesia. 3. Planned for transverse lower uterine segment incision. 4. ASA physical status II or III.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Refusal to provide written informed consent. 2. Current or previous history of neurological or psychiatric disorders. 3. Otitis or dermatitis of the ear. 4. History of substance abuse. 5. Cognitive impairment or inability to communicate. 6. Inability to use patient-controlled intravenous analgesia (PCIA). 7. Severe gestational hypertension, diabetes mellitus, or cardiovascular/cerebrovascular diseases.
