Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. ICU patients; 2. Patients requiring indwelling urinary catheterization due to medical conditions; 3. Informed consent obtained from the patient (or from the family if the patient is unconscious).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with pre-existing indwelling urinary catheter at admission; 2. Diagnosed with urinary tract infection (UTI) or positive urine microbial test at admission; 3. Indwelling catheter duration <=2 days during current hospitalization; 4. Presence of perineal skin breakdown; 5. Severe psychiatric disorders or behavioral abnormalities affecting protocol compliance; 6. Concurrent participation in other clinical trials.
