Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Aged >= 18 years; non-vulnerable groups (e.g., pregnant women, disabled individuals). 2.Histopathologically confirmed as esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). 3.No prior history of cancer-related treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with obvious oral inflammation. 2.A history of bacterial or viral infections involving the tonsils, salivary glands, or pharynx within 1 month prior to sampling. 3.Received periodontal therapy within 3 months prior to sampling. 4.Underwent general anesthesia surgery, radiotherapy, or chemotherapy within the past 6 months. 5.Complicated with other malignant tumors besides ESCC. 6.Received Helicobacter pylori eradication therapy within 4 weeks. 7.A history of facial aesthetic injections (e.g., botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid, thread lifting) or craniomaxillofacial bone surgery.
