The Tai Chi Group:Modified Tai Chi
The Control Group:The patients received conventional physical therapy (PT) training, which included lower limb muscle strength training, balance training, weight-shifting training, and gait training.

12 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.First-ever stroke, confirmed by cranial CT or MRI as a first-onset, unilateral focal lesion; 2.Disease course of 1 to 3 months; 3.Age between 12 and 75 years; 4.Medically stable condition and able to cooperate with treatment; 5.Functional Ambulation Category (FAC) score of 0 to 2; 6.Provision of informed consent signed by the patient or a legal guardian.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe cognitive impairment, unable to cooperate with assessment and treatment; 2. Severe organ dysfunction; 3. Severe heart disease or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD); 4. Severe orthostatic hypotension; 5. Skin lesions such as pressure ulcers; 6. Mental disorders.
