Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients receiving mechanical ventilation who meet the clinical diagnostic criteria of Western medicine and the pattern identification criteria of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM); 2. Aged between 18 and 85 years, regardless of gender; 3. Able to cooperate with acupuncture and herbal medicine treatment, with no history of allergy to the medications used in the study; 4. The patient or their legal guardian voluntarily agrees to participate in and comply with this study, and has signed the informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Local skin damage or infection at the acupuncture site; 2. Hemodynamic instability, with heart rate >140 beats/min or systolic blood pressure 5 µg/kg/min, or norepinephrine >0.2 µg/kg/min; 4. Electrocardiogram indicating life-threatening arrhythmias; 5. Requirement for further surgery or continuous sedation; 6. Expected survival time of less than 6 months or patients receiving palliative care; 7. Participation in other studies related to mechanical ventilation.
