Control Group:Conventional Western medicine treatment
Traditional Chinese Medicine Group:Conventional Western medicine treatment + Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang (Huangqi 18g, Zhi Gancao 9g, Ren Shen 6g, Sheng Ma 6g, Chai Hu 6g, Chen Pi 6g, Dang Gui 6g, Bai Zhu 6g
one dose daily, 200ml per bag, oral or nasogastric administration, course of treatment 14 days)
Acupuncture Group:Conventional Western medicine treatment + Acupuncture intervention (acupoints: bilateral Zusanli, Shanzhong, Qihai, Zhongwan, bilateral Taixi
operation: reinforcing technique with twisting, needling once every 10 minutes, retention for 30 minutes, once daily, course of treatment 14 days)
Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine Group:Conventional Western medicine treatment + Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang (same as Traditional Chinese Medicine Group) + Acupuncture intervention (same as Acupuncture Group)

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients receiving mechanical ventilation who meet the clinical diagnostic criteria of Western medicine and the pattern identification criteria of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM); 2. Aged between 18 and 85 years, regardless of gender; 3. Able to cooperate with acupuncture and herbal medicine treatment, with no history of allergy to the medications used in the study; 4. The patient or their legal guardian voluntarily agrees to participate in and comply with this study, and has signed the informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Local skin damage or infection at the acupuncture site; 2. Hemodynamic instability, with heart rate >140 beats/min or systolic blood pressure 5 µg/kg/min, or norepinephrine >0.2 µg/kg/min; 4. Electrocardiogram indicating life-threatening arrhythmias; 5. Requirement for further surgery or continuous sedation; 6. Expected survival time of less than 6 months or patients receiving palliative care; 7. Participation in other studies related to mechanical ventilation.
