Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The polysomnography (PSG) results indicated an Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI) greater than 5 events per hour and a minimum oxygen saturation (SpO2) below 90%; the age range was between 25 and 60 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The polysomnography (PSG) results indicated an apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) of less than 5 events per hour. The patient's body mass index (BMI) is greater than 40 kg/m^2. The tonsils exhibit Grade III hypertrophy. The patient has third-degree tonsillar hypertrophy where the bilateral tonsils are completely touching each other. The patient has a history of pharyngeal airway surgeries, including previous tonsillectomy, uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP), tongue base ablation, and mandibular advancement.
