Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients diagnosed with hypopharyngeal carcinoma at The First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University between January 2014 and January 2024. 2.Histologically confirmed hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma. 3.Clinical stage III, IVA, or IVB (according to the 8th edition AJCC/UICC staging system). 4.Received radical surgery or concurrent chemoradiotherapy as initial treatment as defined above. 5.Complete baseline clinical, pathological, and staging data available. 6.Post-treatment follow-up duration >= 6 months (unless an event occurred within 6 months).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Presence of distant metastasis. 2.Received non-radical treatment or palliative treatment alone. 3.Presence of a second primary cancer in the head and neck region. 4.Critically missing medical records, making accurate staging or efficacy evaluation impossible.
