Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Intermittent Exotropia Group: 1.Age range: 6–17 years old; 2.spherical equivalent refraction (under cycloplegic refraction) ranging from -3.00 D to +3.00 D; corneal astigmatism = 0.8 in both eyes; 3.deviation angle >= 15 prism diopters (?) at both near and far fixation distances; 4.Written informed consent was obtained from all participants and their guardians. Postoperative Intermittent Exotropia Group: 1. Age range: 6–17 years old; 2.diagnosed with intermittent exotropia (IXT), underwent strabismus correction surgery after being evaluated as eligible for surgery via the Newcastle Control Score (NCS), with a postoperative follow-up period of 6 months to 2 years; spherical equivalent refraction (under cycloplegic refraction) ranging from -3.00 D to +3.00 D; corneal astigmatism = 0.8 in both eyes; 3. Written informed consent was obtained from all participants and their guardians. Healthy Control Group: 1. Age range: 6–17 years old; 2.spherical equivalent refraction (under cycloplegic refraction) ranging from -3.00 D to +3.00 D; corneal astigmatism = 0.8 in both eyes; 4. Written informed consent was obtained from all participants and their guardians.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Inability to cooperate with all examinations and failure to complete follow-ups as required by the study.
