Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion Criteria for ADHD Group: 1. Meet the diagnostic criteria for ADHD as per DSM-5, confirmed by a rehabilitation specialist or neurologist; 2. Age between 6-13 years; 3. Full Scale IQ (FSIQ) of the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, Fourth Edition (WISC-IV) = 85; 4. Right-handed; 5. Normal or corrected-to-normal vision; 6. Able to cooperate and complete all examinations and assessments; 7. No severe systemic diseases; 8. Informed consent obtained from both the participant and their guardian. Inclusion Criteria for Healthy Control Group: 1. Matched to the ADHD group in terms of age, sex, and IQ; 2. Right-handed; 3. Normal or corrected-to-normal vision; 4. No personal or family history of psychiatric or neurological disorders, and with good school adaptation; 5. Able to cooperate and complete all examinations and assessments; 6. No severe systemic diseases; 7. Informed consent obtained from both the participant and their guardian.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion Criteria for ADHD Group: 1. Comorbid with other neurodevelopmental disorders or psychiatric diseases; 2. History of neurological diseases or severe somatic diseases; 3. Prior use of ADHD therapeutic medications, antiepileptic drugs, benzodiazepines, or other psychoactive medications; 4. Previous treatment with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) or Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT); 5. Auditory or visual impairment. Exclusion Criteria for Healthy Control Group: 1. Individuals with somatic conditions that may affect participation in assessments and tests; 2. Individuals with a history of traumatic brain injury; 3. Any other circumstances that may hinder the completion of assessments and tests.
