Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Subthreshold depression group (STD) (1) Age 60 and above; (2) Have lived in this area for 20 years or more; (3) Based on the Geriatric Depression Scale (gds-30), those with a score of >10 entered the next step of assessment. The provincial hospital qualified psychiatrists made clinical diagnosis according to dsm-5, and included those individuals who were assessed to have >= 2 depressive symptoms and the course of disease lasted for at least two weeks, but did not meet the complete diagnostic criteria for severe depressive disorder; (4) Communication barrier free or communication barrier free after visual and auditory correction; (5) Right handedness (Chinese handedness scale); (6) Sign informed consent. Normal control group (HC) (1) There was no depression related diagnosis, and the elderly depression scale (gds-30) was screened, and the score was <= 10; (2) The other inclusion, exclusion, exclusion and exclusion criteria were the same as those of STD group; (3) They were matched with STD group according to gender, age and education.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) T1 showed cerebral infarction (lacunar infarction>15 mm) or other vascular injury; (2) Intolerable severe physical diseases; (3) Diseases related to brain structural changes: such as brain tumors, tumor metastatic diseases; Unstable physical diseases, such as severe asthma; Epilepsy and other neurodegenerative diseases; Physical diseases that may lead to mood disorder symptoms, such as multiple sclerosis, thyroid disease, etc; (4) The mini mental state examination (MMSE) was used to screen the patients with cognitive impairment (MMSE score <= 17 points in the illiterate group, <= 20 points in the primary school group, and = 24 points in the middle school group and above); (5) A person who has previously been diagnosed with mental disorder or is currently suffering from mental disorder; (6) A history of antipsychotics or alcoholism within 2 months; (7) Those who are claustrophobic or have metal implants in their bodies and cannot undergo MRI examination; (8) Participants in other projects during the study; (9) Patients with previous diagnosis of depression and bipolar disorder.
