Patients with symptomatic lumbar degenerative diseases (including but not limited to lumbar disc herniation and lumbar spinal stenosis) verified by imaging studies (e.g., magnetic resonance imaging [MRI]), who did not respond to conservative management.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Symptomatic lumbar degenerative diseases (e.g., lumbar disc herniation, lumbar spinal stenosis) confirmed by imaging (e.g., MRI) that are refractory to conservative treatment; 2.Undergoing elective unilateral biportal endoscopic surgery; 3.Age >=18 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Combined with spinal tumors, infections, fractures, or trauma; 2.Requiring fusion or other complex surgical procedures; 3.Emergency or revision surgery; 4.Missing medical record data > 50%, resulting in incomplete key variables for analysis; 5.Prolonged hospital stay due to non-orthopedic reasons; 6.Postoperative admission to the ICU or severe preoperative neurological deficits.
