Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Cross-sectional survey: Young women aged 20–45 years with complaints of menstrual irregularities and requests for menstrual improvement were included, with no restrictions on BMI or ethnicity. Longitudinal follow-up study: Based on the cross-sectional population, participants without obesity (BMI 18–30 kg/m²) were enrolled. Those with a clear treatment regimen and continuous treatment for at least 3 months were included in the follow-up.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Cross-sectional survey (Exclusion criteria) Exclusion criteria included acute or chronic viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, malignant tumor, severe liver dysfunction or chronic kidney disease; use of hormonal agents (such as dydrogesterone) or medications for insulin resistance (metformin or sitagliptin sodium) within the past 3 months; and any other conditions that did not meet the inclusion criteria of the study. Longitudinal follow-up survey (Exclusion criteria) Based on the cross-sectional study population, participants who were unable to complete follow-up for any reason were further excluded.
