Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion Criteria: 1) Men aged 20-45 years with their spouses in a state of pregnancy. 2) Have Chinese reading and writing skills, and be able to complete electronic or paper questionnaires independently. 3) BMI between 18-28 kg/m² to rule out the extreme effects of being overweight or obese on metabolic markers.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion Criteria: 1) Known to have diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, gout, thyroid dysfunction, severe heart, liver and kidney diseases, or malignant tumors. 2) Taking drugs that may affect metabolism (such as glucocorticoids, weight/hypoglycemic/lipid-lowering drugs, ß blockers, etc.) in the past 3 months. 3) Recent (e.g., within the past 1 month) conscious significant dietary control, exercise plan, or change of routine.
