Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Meets the diagnostic criteria for AD as stipulated in the Fifth Edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders of the American Psychiatric Association; 2. Age >= 55 years; 3. Voluntary participation or consent from the family members for this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Exclude individuals with severe diseases of vital organs such as the heart, liver, and kidneys. 2. Exclude systemic conditions that can cause dementia, including hypothyroidism, vitamin B complex or folic acid deficiency, niacin deficiency, hypocalcemia, neurosyphilis, and HIV infection. 3. Exclude patients with cognitive impairment caused by prior mental disorders such as depression and schizophrenia. 4. Exclude patients taking cholinesterase inhibitors, benzodiazepines, or antidepressants that may affect electroencephalogram (EEG) rhythms. 5. Exclude patients who received antipsychotic medication within the past month. 6. Exclude those unable to complete the examinations. 6. Questionnaires with 20% or more missing data shall be invalidated.
