Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Study Period and Examination Type: Patients who received heart and large vessel-related CT examinations (including but not limited to: coronary computed tomography angiography [CCTA], emergency triple rule-out [TRO] CT, coronary artery calcium scoring [CACS] CT, CT pulmonary angiography [CTPA], or aortic CT angiography [ACTA]) at the Department of Radiology in our institution between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2025, for clinical indications. 2. Data Integrity: Well-preserved raw imaging data or reconstructed images that are retrievable and suitable for subsequent computer-based post-processing and quantitative parameter analysis. 3. Data Accessibility: Complete availability of the original DICOM data for all aforementioned sequences, accessible via the hospital’s imaging system. 4. Clinical Records: Comprehensive documentation of basic clinical information, including age, sex, clinical diagnosis, and the purpose of the examination.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe Image Artifacts: Presence of severe motion artifacts, misregistration (stair-step) artifacts due to poor breath-holding, or excessive image noise that prevents precise anatomical structure definition and quantitative measurement. 2. Physical Interference Factors: Presence of severe pathological destruction, anatomical deformities, or prominent implants (such as cardiac pacemakers, coronary stents, or extensive metallic chest sutures) that generate strong physical artifacts, significantly interfering with the accurate extraction and analysis of imaging biomarkers (e.g., epicardial fat volume [EFV], plaque components, and luminal structures). 3. Missing Technical Parameters: Absence of documented key imaging acquisition parameters (such as scan protocol type, gating trigger information, or contrast medium injection schemes), rendering multi-parametric methodological comparison analysis impossible.
Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Consistency and accuracy of imaging biomarker measurements under different imaging protocols; | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Methodological bias correction performance: Evaluation of goodness-of-fit (R^2) and residual distribution of corrected data;Subgroup difference analysis: Assessment of the impact of different clinical characteristics (e.g., coronary plaque, heart rate, BMI) on consistency of imaging quantification accuracy;Inter-observer agreement: Calculation of intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC);Image quality subjective and objective assessment: Image noise, signal-to-noise ratio, contrast-to-noise ratio, and subjective visual scoring; | — |
