Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: From May 2023 to October 2025, diabetic PAD patients who visited Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University and underwent bilateral lower limb artery ultrasound examinations in this center were assessed for the presence of multiple AS or diffuse MAC in their lower limb arteries. Based on the ultrasound results, they were divided into three groups: 1. S group: multiple AS present, with no MAC or only mild MAC; 2. MAC group: only diffuse MAC present, with no AS or only mild AS; 3. Mixed group: both multiple AS and diffuse MAC present.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients who underwent arterial revascularization of lower limbs in the past; 2.Patients with severe liver and kidney failure, advanced malignant tumor, serious blood system diseases (such as leukemia, lymphoma and severe anemia), serious mental or acute infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases and long-term use of hormones or immunosuppressants. 3.Pregnant or lactating women; 4.Patients with incomplete clinical data or unable to cooperate with relevant examinations;
