Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with biopsy-confirmed early-stage esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) scheduled for endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD); 2. No history of iodine allergy, thyroid dysfunction, or severe hepatic/renal disease; 3. Able to tolerate capsule endoscopy (no swallowing difficulties).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant or lactating women; 2. Recent (within 1 month) use of iodine-containing contrast agents or medications; 3. History of esophageal surgery or prior radiation/chemotherapy.
