Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 65–85 years; 2. Subjective cognitive decline indicated by the Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS) screening tool or presence of subjective complaints; 3. Objective cognitive screening using the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) with a score >26 (indicative of subjective cognitive decline, SCD); 4. No use of systemic glucocorticoids (steroids) within the 3 months prior to intervention; 5. Scores on the Alzheimer's Disease Cooperative Study–Activities of Daily Living scale for Mild Cognitive Impairment (ADCS-ADL-MCI) either below one standard deviation from the healthy normative mean or within one standard deviation of the healthy normative mean; 6. A score >=2 (on a 4-point scale) for each item on the Chinese version of the Lawton Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL) scale.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. History of major medical conditions, such as cancer, stroke, or kidney disease; 2. Any severe injury, medical condition, or psychiatric disorder that could impede trial completion, including serious cardiovascular, respiratory, metabolic, or endocrine diseases; recent surgery; acute or chronic pain; current diagnosis of psychiatric disorders (e.g., depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, schizophrenia) or dementia; 3. Presence of severe psychiatric illness or behavioral disturbances, defined as a total score >36 on the Neuropsychiatric Inventory (NPI); 4. Significant sensory or motor impairments that would interfere with assessment procedures or physical activity participation; 5. Elderly individuals with conditions such as fractures or other disorders that preclude safe participation in exercise interventions; 6. Regular heavy alcohol consumption, smoking, or use of recreational/illicit substances; 7. Individuals who have engaged in personal yoga practice more than once per week on average over the past 3 months, or who have regularly participated in mind-body exercises (>3 sessions per week, 60 minutes per session) or physical exercise (>150 minutes per week of moderate-intensity activity or >75 minutes per week of vigorous-intensity activity) over the past 6 months.
