Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients who have undergone periodontal treatment (including surgical treatment for more than six months) and have entered the maintenance phase, diagnosed with Stage II-III, Grade A-B periodontitis according to the 2018 classification of periodontal diseases; 2. Probing depth throughout the mouth does not exceed 5 mm (excluding third molars and the distal of second permanent molars); 3. Total number of teeth >24, with a similar number of unrepaired missing teeth on both sides; 4. Patients who are generally healthy or have systemic diseases that are stable; 5. Non-smokers, who understand and support this study, voluntarily cooperate with relevant examinations, and sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Systemic diseases that affect treatment outcomes, such as poorly controlled diabetes, osteoporosis, or taking bisphosphonates; 2. Having received scaling and root planing treatment within the past 3 months or taken antibiotics within the past 3 months; 3. Significant subgingival calculus that cannot be removed by air polishing; 4. Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
