Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients who underwent surgical resection or biopsy at Beijing Hospital between June 2010 and June 2025, with pathologically confirmed breast cancer and possessing the clinical data required for this study. 2. Availability of complete medical records, including demographic characteristics, clinicopathological features, treatment information, and records of recurrence/metastasis/death. 3. Availability of residual formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue samples (from the primary lesion or a pulmonary metastatic lesion) obtained after surgery/biopsy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Tissue samples not meeting the quality standards for molecular analysis (e.g., improper fixation, severe degradation, or insufficient tissue). 2. Incompleteness of key clinical data to the extent that comprehensive analysis is not possible. 3. Coexistence of other active malignancies or non-breast cancer-related pulmonary lesions (applied specifically to the lung metastasis cohort).
