Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosis of dilated cardiomyopathy per current guidelines; 2. Diagnosis of chronic heart failure per current international guidelines (e.g., ESC/ACC) with NYHA functional class I–IV; 3. Age >= 18 years; 4. Willingness to participate and provision of written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Presence of other primary etiologies leading to cardiac dysfunction with distinct prognoses, such as severe valvular heart disease, hypertrophic/restrictive cardiomyopathy, acute myocarditis, pericardial disease, or complex congenital heart disease; 2. Use of antibiotics or receipt of fecal microbiota transplantation within the past month; 3. Use of probiotic supplements within the past month; 4. Severe systemic diseases, such as advanced malignancy, active infection, or end-stage hepatic/renal dysfunction; 5. Pregnancy or lactation.
