Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients clinically diagnosed with severe or critical infections of unidentified etiology, including:a. Sepsis or septic shock (with no response to empirical anti-infective therapy after 72 hours and negative conventional cultures);b. Central nervous system infections (with negative routine test results);c. Severe pneumonia (especially in immunocompromised hosts or cases with rapid clinical deterioration). 2. Patients who develop infections while on long-term immunosuppressive therapy. 3. Patients suspected of being infected with special, rare, or emerging pathogens.
