Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Having a habitual forward head posture, confirmed by cervical vertebral angle (CVA) screening; 2. Aged 18 to 45 years, no gender restriction; 3. Right-handed; 4. Engaging in sedentary study and electronic device use in daily life, with weekly sitting time >= 35 hours; 5. Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score < 5; Neck Disability Index (NDI) score < 14 (mild disability); 6. Corrected visual acuity sufficient for the completion of experimental tasks (for myopia, contact lenses or optometric correction are required to avoid the impact of frame glasses on fNIRS probe fitting); 7. Providing informed consent and being able to cooperate with the full experimental procedure.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. A history of cervical spine trauma, cervical spine surgery, or radiologically confirmed severe cervical structural abnormalities within the recent 6 months; 2. Symptoms of acute/chronic neck pain, headache, shoulder pain, or other musculoskeletal disorders within the recent 6 months; 3. A definite neurological disorder currently present that impairs posture or sensation (e.g., stroke, severe traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, peripheral neuropathy, etc.); 4. Active vestibular disorders or severe otorhinolaryngological diseases (which may interfere with vestibular input integration); 5. Pregnant women; 6. Individuals deemed ineligible for fNIRS testing or unable to comply with experimental instructions during screening.
