Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients diagnosed with unilateral condylar head or condylar neck fractures (classified according to the AO/CMF classification system) requiring surgical intervention, or patients with bilateral condylar fractures in whom only the unilateral side is treated surgically (the operated side being a condylar head or condylar neck fracture); 2. Age >= 18 years; 3. No prior history of facial surgery or facial nerve pathology; 4. Informed consent obtained and voluntary participation in this study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Open fractures of the mandibular condyle; 2. Concomitant severe traumatic brain injury or impaired consciousness; 3. Pre-existing facial nerve paralysis prior to surgery; 4. Keloid-prone constitution or dermatological disorders.
