Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Definite diagnosis of knee osteoarthritis (KOA), presenting with typical anteromedial knee pain and poor response to standardized conservative treatment; 2. Knee range of motion (ROM) >=90°, fixed flexion contracture <=15°; 3. Knee varus deformity <= 15° with passive correctability; 4. Intact function of medial/lateral collateral ligaments and anterior/posterior cruciate ligaments; 5. Weight-bearing anteroposterior X-rays showing narrowing or obliteration of the medial joint space, and lateral X-rays showing wear localized to the anteromedial tibial plateau.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Infectious knee arthritis; 2. A history of previous minimally invasive knee surgery or osteotomy; 3. Lateral compartment cartilage wear; 4. Groove-like wear changes in the patellofemoral joint; 5. Intraoperative exploration revealing degenerative changes involving multiple compartments; 6. A history of knee joint aspiration within 3 months; 7. Poor general condition of the patient, unable to tolerate surgery.
