Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy Group: Patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy complicated by lower limb gangrene, in whom debridement and other treatment methods cannot improve the condition and amputation is required. Inclusion criteria: (1) Voluntarily participate and sign the informed consent form; (2) Age >= 18 years; (3) Confirmed diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus; (4) Confirmed diagnosis of diabetic peripheral neuropathy. 2. Control Group: Patients who require amputation due to severe limb, soft tissue, and vascular injuries caused by traffic accidents, in whom surgical reconstruction or repair is not feasible. Inclusion criteria: (1) Voluntarily participate and sign the informed consent form; (2) Age >= 18 years; (3) No history of diabetes mellitus; (4) No history of neurological diseases.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy Group: Exclusion criteria: (1) Severe systemic infectious diseases; (2) Malignant tumors; (3) Pregnancy or lactation; (4) Neuropathy caused by other reasons, such as alcohol, drugs, spinal cord compression, spinal cord inflammation or injury, lumbar disc herniation, etc. 2. Control Group: Exclusion criteria: (1) Severe systemic infectious diseases; (2) Malignant tumors; (3) Pregnancy or lactation; (4) Neuropathy caused by other reasons, such as alcohol, drugs, spinal cord compression, spinal cord inflammation or injury, lumbar disc herniation, etc.
