Intervention Group - Group A (Elderly Individuals ):50 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise + 30 minutes of resistance training

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Inclusion Criteria for Healthy Older Adults: • Aged 60–75 years; in good health with no chronic diseases; sedentary lifestyle (sedentary time >= 8 hours/day) and insufficient physical activity (moderate-to-vigorous physical activity >= 150 min/week or vigorous physical activity >= 75 min/week) over the past three months. 2. Inclusion Criteria for Older Adults with Type 2 Diabetes: • Aged 60–75 years; meets diagnostic criteria for type 2 diabetes per the Chinese Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Type 2 Diabetes (2020 Edition) and has no severe acute or chronic complications; exhibits sedentary behavior (>=8 hours/day) and insufficient physical activity (>=150 min/week of moderate-to-vigorous intensity physical activity or >=75 min/week of vigorous intensity physical activity) over the past three months. 3. Inclusion criteria for elderly individuals with hypertension: • Aged 60–75 years; diagnosed with hypertension (SBP >= 130 mmHg or DBP >= 80 mmHg); exhibited sedentary behavior (>=8 hours/day) and insufficient physical activity (>=150 min/week of moderate-to-vigorous intensity physical activity or >=75 min/week of vigorous intensity physical activity) over the past three months. 4. Inclusion criteria for elderly individuals with hypertension and type 2 diabetes: • Aged 60–75 years; SBP >= 130 mmHg or DBP >= 80 mmHg and meeting the diagnostic criteria for type 2 diabetes in the Chinese Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Type 2 Diabetes (2020 Edition) without severe acute or chronic complications; • Over the past three months, sedentary behavior (sedentary time >= 8 hours/day) and insufficient physical activity (moderate-to-vigorous physical activity >= 150 min/week or vigorous physical activity >= 75 min/week).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Exclusion Criteria for General Elderly Individuals: • Presence of underlying conditions such as hypertension or diabetes; history of cardiovascular events including angina or cerebral infarction; history of psychiatric disorders like depression or anxiety, or neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's or dementia; presence of movement disorders or contraindications to exercise. 2. Exclusion Criteria for Elderly Individuals with Type 2 Diabetes: • Hypertension or severe cardiovascular/cerebrovascular disease; other serious underlying conditions including history of malignancy; history of recurrent hypoglycemic episodes; history of psychiatric disorders such as depression or anxiety, or neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson's or dementia; presence of movement disorders or contraindications to exercise. 3. Exclusion criteria for elderly individuals with hypertension: • Diabetes, severe cardiovascular disease; other serious underlying conditions such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), history of malignancy; uncontrolled blood pressure with SBP > 180 mmHg; history of psychiatric disorders such as depression or anxiety, or neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson's or dementia; presence of movement disorders or contraindications to exercise. 4. Exclusion Criteria for Hypertensive Seniors with Type 2 Diabetes: • Severe cardiovascular disease; other serious underlying conditions such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD); history of malignancy; uncontrolled hypertension with SBP > 180 mmHg; history of recurrent hypoglycemia; history of psychiatric disorders (e.g., depression, anxiety) or neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., Parkinson's disease, dementia); presence of movement disorders or contraindications to exercise.
