18 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >= 18 years; 2. Single or bilateral posterior maxillary edentulism with RBH <= 3 mm; 3. Good oral hy giene (no active periodontitis, PD < 4 mm, BOP at < 30 % of sites); 4. Medically stable (controlled hypertension, diabetes mellitus, or cardiovascular disease).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Cone-beam computed tomography evidence of an intra-osseous artery (diameter >= 2 mm) traversing the planned lateral window; 2. Active sinus pathology (sinusitis, cysts); 3. Acute allergic rhinitis; 4. Heavy smoking (>= 20 cigarettes/day); 5. Untreated periodontitis; 6. History of head-and-neck radiotherapy or bisphosphonate therapy; 7. Pregnancy or lactation.
