Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Idiopathic Short Stature (ISS) Group: Aged 3–10 years, meeting the diagnostic criteria for ISS (height below -2 SDS for age and sex compared to normal children, with exclusion of known causes such as growth hormone deficiency); 2. Control Group: Matched for age and sex, with height and weight within the normal range for age and sex (-1 SDS to +1 SDS), and no history of acute or chronic diseases; 3. Informed consent was obtained from the guardians of all participants.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Use of antibiotics, probiotics, prebiotics, or medications affecting intestinal function within the past month; 2. Presence of known gastrointestinal diseases, autoimmune diseases, genetic metabolic disorders, chromosomal abnormalities, or severe organic diseases; 3. Previous treatment with growth hormone or other medications that may affect growth.
