Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Aged 18 years or above 2) Screened by the Patient Health Questionnaire depression scale (PHQ-9) with at least moderate depressive symptoms (i.e. a PHQ score of 10 or above) 3) ACE histories will be collected using the Adverse Childhood Experiences—International Questionnaire (ACE-IQ) with at least one ACE

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) The presence of serious suicidal risk 2) Severe medical illness with a prognosis of less than 6 months to live 3) A diagnosis of antisocial, schizotypal, or borderline personality disorder; 4) A history of schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, or organic brain disorders.
