Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. ESCC confirmed by histology or cytology; 2. Assessed as unresectable locally advanced ESCC, or stage IVB patients with only extra-regional lymph node metastasis (according to the 8th edition of the American Joint Committee on Cancer staging criteria); 3. Have received radiotherapy/chemotherapy/concurrent chemoradiotherapy/programmed death-1 (PD-1) inhibitor immunotherapy (applied during the induction phase/combined with concurrent chemoradiotherapy/applied sequentially during the consolidation phase); 4. Primary tumor radiation dose between 50Gy and 70Gy; 5. Complete clinical data available.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pathology results indicate non-squamous carcinoma or recurrent cancer; 2. Distant organ metastasis; 3. History of or development of other primary malignancies during follow-up; 4. Previous chest radiotherapy.
