Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. A cohort of neonates with necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) admitted to the Neonatology Department of the Second Hospital of Jilin University from September 2014 to November 2025 was selected as the NEC group, while those hospitalized during the same period without NEC were designated as the control group. 2. Complete medical records and clinical data; 3. The NEC diagnostic criteria comply with the 10th edition of "Pediatrics" (14th Five-Year Plan Textbook).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Children with inherited metabolic disorders, chromosomal abnormalities, or immunodeficiency; 2. Incomplete medical records and clinical data.
