Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Elderly patients aged 65 years or older; 2. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classification II–IV; 3. Patients scheduled to undergo elective, primary unilateral hip arthroplasty; 4. Patients planned to receive general anesthesia; 5. Patients assessed by an anesthesiologist one day before surgery with a Clinical Frailty Scale (CFS) score of 5 (mildly frail) to 8 (very severely frail); 6. Patients willing to participate in the study and who have signed the informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with a Clinical Frailty Scale (CFS) score of 9 (terminally ill); 2. Patients with severe cognitive impairment (Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) score 4 weeks) or a history of drug or alcohol abuse prior to surgery; 5. Patients undergoing concurrent surgery that may significantly impact postoperative recovery.
