Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for the case group: 1. Age 18–70 years; 2. Persistent bitter taste in the mouth for more than 4 weeks, with gastroscopy ruling out organic lesions such as esophageal cancer; 3. Normal liver, gallbladder, and pancreas ultrasound and liver function tests; 4. Voluntarily signed informed consent. Inclusion criteria for the control group: 1. Age 18–80 years; 2. No gastrointestinal symptoms or diseases; 3. No other systemic or general diseases; 4. Voluntarily signed informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria for the case group: 1. Pregnant or breastfeeding women; 2. Use of medications that may affect upper gastrointestinal motility within the past 48 hours; 3. Presence of severe heart, lung, liver, or kidney dysfunction, or other diseases that make the examination intolerable; 4. Achalasia, eosinophilic esophagitis, or a history of upper gastrointestinal surgery. Exclusion criteria for the control group: 1.Pregnant or breastfeeding women; 2.Use of medications that may affect upper gastrointestinal motility within the past 48 hours.
