Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Adult patients meeting the Sepsis-3.0 diagnostic criteria (acute increase in SOFA score >=2 points);

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Pre-existing neuromuscular disease; 2.muscle weakness present before ICU admission; 3.cranial injury; 4.spinal cord injury; 5.pregnancy; 6.expected ICU stay <48 hours;
