Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) 1. Aged 18-65 years; 2. Diagnosed with IBD (including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis) based on the diagnostic criteria in the "Consensus on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease," through comprehensive analysis of clinical presentation, laboratory tests, imaging examinations, endoscopy, and histopathological findings, after excluding infectious and other non-infectious colitis. Healthy Population 1. Aged 18-65 years; 2. Overall good health, with no history of gastrointestinal diseases; 3. Has not used the following medications recently (at least within the past 3 months): antibiotics, probiotic preparations, hormonal drugs or immunosuppressants, or metabolism-affecting drugs (such as glucocorticoids, antidiabetic medications); 4. No acute or chronic inflammatory diseases (such as rheumatic diseases, infections, etc.); 5. No malignant tumors, metabolic or systemic diseases (such as diabetes, liver or kidney dysfunction, etc.); 6. No significant recent dietary changes, with a stable diet; 7. Physical examination or colonoscopy results are normal, or only benign colon polyps (such as tubular adenomas, inflammatory polyps, etc.) are found, with no signs of mucosal inflammation.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease 1. Patients who have used any antibiotics or hormones within the past month; 2. Those with confirmed active infections (such as tuberculosis, CMV, etc.); 3. Those with tumors or other autoimmune diseases; 4. Pregnant or breastfeeding women. Healthy Population 1. Those with a past or current diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease (UC, CD) or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS); 2. Those with a history of gastrointestinal surgery (except appendectomy or hemorrhoid surgery); 3. Patients who have used any antibiotics or hormones within the past month; 4. Those with confirmed active infections (such as tuberculosis, CMV, etc.); 5. Those with tumors or other autoimmune diseases; 6. Pregnant or breastfeeding women.
