Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Type A-B group included patients with type A or type B plica. Type A plica exists as a thin, cord-like elevation of the synovial wall under the retinaculum. Type B is a narrow synovium with a shelf-like appearance but does not cover the anterior surface of the medial femoral condyle. Type C-D group included patients with type A or type B plica. Type C is larger than type B, with a shelf-like appearance that partially covers the medial femoral condyle. Type D is similar in size and shape to type C, though type D is fenestrated, splitting into two portions at its origin.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.History of knee surgery; 2.Meniscal pathology; 3.ligament injury; 4.Space occupying lesion; 5.Skeletal immaturity; 6.Knee osteoarthritis (Kellgren-Lawrence grade = 3); 7.Severe knee deformity (valgus and varus deformity>15 degrees); 8.Infections and inflammatory arthritis.
