Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >= 18 years; 2. Clinically diagnosed with pulmonary embolism; 3. Meeting the Rome IV diagnostic criteria for functional constipation; 4. Clear consciousness and able to cooperate with the intervention and assessment; 5. Voluntary participation with signed informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Critical pulmonary embolism (e.g., massive PE, hemodynamic instability); 2. Severe cardiac dysfunction (NYHA class IV); 3. Active gastrointestinal bleeding, intestinal obstruction, abdominal aortic aneurysm, recent abdominal surgery, etc. 4. Other contraindications to manual assisted defecation procedures; 5. Cognitive impairment or psychiatric disorders that preclude cooperation; 6. Expected survival < 1 month; 7. Current participation in other clinical trials that may affect bowel movements.
