Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: School level: (1) The school is equipped with health-related staff, such as a school doctor, teachers responsible for health education, and physical education teachers, etc.; (2) School administrators agree to participate in this study; (3) The total number of children and teenagers in each grade is >= 50, and the number of children and teenagers in most classes should be around 30-50. If the number of students in each class is less than 40, two classes will be recruited; if it is more than 40, one class will be recruited. Selection criteria for classes This study will include students from grades 1 to 4 of primary school, as well as students in the first grade of junior high school and senior high school. Generally, these students' ages range from 6 to 18 years old. Class level: This study includes research subjects whose age range is between 6 and 18 years old, and whose class teachers agree to participate. Student and parent selection criteria (1) There is no transfer plan during the study period. (2) Students have complete medical records during their school years. (3) Parents own smartphones and join the class WeChat group (a Chinese social media platform). (4) Students and parents understand the research content and are willing to sign the informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria for schools (1)Boarding schools. (2)Ethnic minority and special education schools. (3)Those undergoing other similar programme focused on preventing IS and myopia. (4)Those with plans for merger, division or relocation during the implementation period of this study. Exclusion criteria for students and parents (1)Presence of eye diseases, visual impairments (e.g., color blindness, color deficiency), or prior eye surgeries (e.g., laser procedures). (2)Scoliosis caused by identifiable conditions (e.g., congenital, postural, neuromuscular disorders, or other diseases such as neurofibromatosis, Marfan syndrome, osteogenesis imperfecta, metabolic or endocrine disorders). (3)History of psychiatric disorders or rheumatic diseases. (4)Presence of contraindications preventing participation in physical activities. (5)Received prior rehabilitation or surgical treatment for IS or myopia.
