Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. OCD Group: (1) Biological parents of Han Chinese ethnicity; (2) Aged 16–65 years, both male and female included; (3) Meeting the DSM-5 clinical diagnostic criteria for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD); (4) Written informed consent obtained from the patient. If the patient lacks capacity during an acute episode, written informed consent must be obtained from their legal guardian. 2. Normal Control Group: (1) Biological parents of Han Chinese ethnicity; (2) Aged 16–65 years, both male and female included; (3) No history of psychiatric disorders and currently not meeting any DSM-5 clinical diagnostic criteria; (4) No prior use of anti-obsessive-compulsive drugs or antipsychotic medications; (5) Written informed consent obtained voluntarily for participation in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: OCD Group Exclusion Criteria: Individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, mood disorders, intellectual disability, pervasive developmental disorders, delirium, dementia, memory disorders, or other cognitive impairments as defined by DSM-IV; 1.Psychiatric disorders due to substance abuse (e.g., alcohol or drugs), or patients with severe unstable medical conditions (e.g., heart disease); 2.Narrow-angle glaucoma; 3.History of epilepsy (excluding febrile seizures); 4.Patients meeting DSM-5 criteria for substance dependence (excluding nicotine dependence); 5. Current or previous diagnosis of neuroleptic malignant syndrome; 6.Inability to comply with medication regimens or lack of a guardian; 7.Pregnant or breastfeeding women, or those planning pregnancy; 8.Contraindications for MRI.
