Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Confirmed acute PE patients with persistent hypotension, shock, or cardiac arrest who meet the 2019 ESC guideline high-risk PE criteria; 2.Age >=18 years old.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Non-thrombotic pulmonary embolism (e.g., air embolism, fat embolism); 2.ECMO support for non-PE related cardiopulmonary failure; 3.Missing key baseline or outcome data; 4.Hospital stay < 24 hours or voluntary discharge.
