Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Scheduled to undergo lumbar spine surgery under general anesthesia, with an ASA physical status classification of II-III. 2. Aged 65 to 80 years. 3. Body Mass Index (BMI) between 18 and 24.9 kg/m². 4. Anticipated surgical duration is greater than 1 hour and less than 3 hours.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Emergency surgery. 2. Patients with any underlying pulmonary disease, history of prior lung surgery, current pneumothorax or tuberculosis, pleural effusion, anticipated difficult intubation, or respiratory failure. 3. Patients with severe heart block, sinus node dysfunction, or congestive heart failure. 4. Patients who decline to participate.
